Net Foreign Activity

As of the close last Friday, 9/3/2010

charts are courtesy of Metastock

Description: The Net Foreign Activity is calculated by taking the difference between the daily foreign buying and daily foreign selling. It is an oscillator that fluctuates around a zero line. If the oscillator is above the zero line, then, there are more foreign buying than foreign selling. If the oscillator is below the zero line, then, there are more foreign selling than foreign buying. Foreigners are perceived by the market as being the "smart money", therefore, their movements are closely watched by the market.
