Interview with Fitz

and Fitz during the interview at Italianni's in Glorietta How
he started in the stock market and in technical analysis: Fitz
worked part-time in an investment house while he was studying college in
the United States. During his stay there, he enrolled at the New York Institute of Finance
for a three month course on the principles of the Elliot Wave. Persons

Trades: 1.
Filinvest Land, Inc. (FLI) just before the announcement of the winner in
the Fort Bonifacio bidding last 1994. He bought the stock at P9.30 and
sold five minutes after at P12.75. He doubled down his selling position
and bought everything back another just five minutes after at P9.50. He
again took a position at the same price and sold everything by the close
at P10.50. 2.
Best World, Inc. (BW) several days after its peak at P107 in October
1999. He accumulated 800 thousand shares at an average cost of about
P23.50. After a few minutes, he sold his entire position at an average
price of P42.50. Ten minutes after, he bought everything back at about
P34.00, only to sell it again at the close at the price of P42.50. Worst
Trades: 1.
Went long and got stopped out 100 points in 4 seconds at the HK Index
Futures market. He lost almost 10% of his entire portfolio in that small
span of time. 2.
Philweb.com, Inc. (WEB) a few days after its peak at P0.54 in March
2000. He bought WEB thinking that the decline the past few days was just
a correction. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the start of the bear
market. He cut-loss P30,000 of a P100,000 position. How
he stock picks: He
looks at the overall economy and looks at sectors and/or stocks that
could benefit. He also looks at the trend. He
says, "I believe may binabagayan ang bawat stock".
