Accumulated Foreign Activity

Description: The Accumulated Foreign Activity is the daily summation of foreign buying and foreign selling. If the day's activity results in more foreign buying than foreign selling, the difference is added to the indicator. If the day's activity results in more foreign selling than foreign buying, the difference is subtracted from the indicator. The Accumulated Foreign Activity tells us whether the market's uptrend is being accompanied by foreign buying or whether the market's downtrend is being accompanied by foreign selling. Foreigners are perceived by the market as being the "smart money", therefore, their movements are closely watched by the market.
